Located in historic Martinez, CA, Martinez is one of the last Old Town Americana cities left in the Bay Area. Rich in history, Martinez was a gold rush and shipping boomtown from a trading post in 1849 to incorporation in 1876. One of those early settlers created the popular drink known as the "Martini". Martinez was the home of Joe DiMaggio and John Muir.

Hat Bar is located in one of Martinez's historic buildings, 701 Escobar Street #D, between Ferry Street and Estudillo. We share a building with Adeline & Grace Photography, Knots & Found, and Del Cielo Brewery.

If you haven't visited this great little town, you should! It's got great parks, including the National Historic Site, The John Muir House, and a shoreline park. It also has a darling downtown filled with an array of small businesses (like us!), great dining, and world-class breweries. Check out the Downtown Martinez Association and the Martinez Chamber of Commerce for more information about visiting Martinez.

For those of you who really want to make a trip out of it, Amtrak is one block from downtown. If you're riding Amtrak's California Zepher, make sure to take some time to visit. Make a VIP appointment to get your favorite new hat before you head on out.
